Video games

A Video Game topic... I could rant for hours about ever-so-many games. But I won't I need sleep. Therfore, I'll just tell you about the game I got yesterday! =D Hm, well, I got Spectrobes yesterday so that I'd have something to do for 4/5.5 hours of my trip to and from the coast tomorrow. I have to say, it's like Harvest Moon in the way it sounds really lame until you play it. x_x I've spent about seven hours just digging up fossils and am nowhere in the plot. The battles are really weird, but fun. Sadly, though, if you so much as get flicked, you take massive damage. D= Not cool. Although it is a fairly pretty game, having to stop every couple of steps to scan the area for fossils/minerals also is not cool. :D But I just can't stop digging. Dunno why. It's just... FUN. Yeah... EVERYBODY SHOULD BUY PHOENIX WRIGHT SO THAT THEY'LL MAKE A THIRD ONE. And it's funny... and fun... yeah. >< Shameless propaganda FTW!

GRRRRRR... anyway, did yall hear about GTA IV?

God, GTA... I'm... not quite sure what my stance is on that series. I mean, they're terrible, TERRIBLE examples of the lowest form of entertainment, but on the other hand... I can't help but look on in amusement as my brother plays them. :? I CAN however, say that the radio is the absolute best part of any of them. The various DJs or talk shows that they have on there are flippin' HILARIOUS. Plenty of good quotes come from there, but I always feel too akward to use them, as then I'd have to admit that they came from a GTA game... Speaking of my brother, though, and video games, he just finished playing Shadow of Colossus, once again with me watching. Because that's often how things work out. Anyway. It was... kind of stark, plot wise, and a little confusing at the end, but DEAR GOD are the graphics gorgeous. The movement of the creatures in that game is superb. And the battles... FEPIC. Yes. "Fepic." Once again, a contraction. (You all are smart people; you can figure it out.) Seriously. Legolas aint got NOTHIN' on the hero in that game. :wink: It's pretty good times. And... That's all for me to say for now.

I remember watching my brother play GTA...yes, you really can make funny things happen in that game. 'specially when you find one of the more...fun...weapons. The first RPG I ever played...Golden Sun. Yup. I only did games like Goldeneye and SSX Tricky, and that was when my brother was around. I bought my own handheld and hid it in my room...my mom thinks all anime and manga is porn; and since a lot of games are anime, thus all of those games are porn. ><. But now I've been playing Kingdom Hearts 2 (Finally.)

OMG! i loved golden sun... and GS2, and kingdom hearts 1&2! another really good rpg for the ps2 would have to be radiata stories.

That reminds me of the parents of a friend. You know, it's sad to always hear the older people(40+) rant about how degenerate the youth of today is, when they themselves aren't even ready to learn easy things. Well, anyway. Games. First of all, Shining FTW!!! And no, it's not Steven King's The Shining. Shining, spawing such games as Shining Force, Shining in the Dark, and so on, is an awesome series of games that first started out on the Sega Genesis/Megadrive, and went on to several other of Sega's systems later. The first part was now re-published a few years ago, slightly changed, as Shining Force: Ressurection of the Dark Dragon for the GBA. It is a turn-based strategy game with roleplaying elements, including a big party, levelling up, the ability to promote characters once they reach a certain level, and so on. I'm usually big on roleplaying games, but there are not too many worthy roleplaying games for PC or consoles, especially since those are not really roleplaying games per se. However, for me, any kind of game with a good story does the job. Whether it's a FPS, survival horror, etc, you get my drift.
