Haha, I know. I wouldn't do that.
(Sadly, I tried to save some baby birds that had fallen from a nest when I was little. I even used a nest to bring them up, but they must have had my scent on them, for the mother never came back. I think the cats got to them. >.<)

Ah, the strict rules of Nature...
But yeah. Scent memory is different than memory of EVENTS. Heh. A bird cannot recollect specific instances (at least, as far as I know). It just goes migrating or whatever when its instincts tell it it's supposed to.

Aw, you're better off raising the birds yourself, if you want them to survive. My friend did that with a starling chick named 'Tweedums.'

I wouldn't have known how, though. I was really, really little. I'm not sure I was even in school at the time... Not that my parents would have let me anyway, heh.

Harpy Eagles are pretty damn awesome. x3 (Lara and I already decided someone's gonna have one for a familiar, heh)
So are Peregrines, and Red Tailed Hawks.... I don't know what I'd get.
...though it probably wouldn't happen anyway. xP

Edit: There is this HUGE red-tailed hawk that hunts near my house. o(^.^)o It's so neat to see him soaring outside my window. (My dad loves the fact he gets all of the ground squirrels.)
