Forum General Rules (Read this FIRST)
I know, I know.... you're all hyped up and raring to put together a character and jump into the rp thread. However, like all things, TaL's roleplay has rules designed to make it more fun, for you and everyone else. Please read this thoroughly before posting. Don't worry, its not long. ;) 1. Read and fill out the Character Creation form (found *forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=9>here*) in the appropriate thread. Do NOT begin roleplaying until after your character is approved. 2. All posts MUST be literate. It's preferred that each post is at least a paragraph. 3. Treat others with respect. That means no flaming, or anything of the sort. We all have our differences, but these should be settled civilly and not in this forum. (Note; two characters not liking each other or fighting is different than the actual users doing so.) 4. Feel free to use NPCs if they're needed (a store clerk, for example) but do NOT use any of the characters within the actual comic. 5. No god-moding please. This means no characters that are disproportionately powerful or knowledgable in relation to the other characters. We want you to have fun and feel free to personalize your characters, but having a character of this sort tends to impede good roleplaying, so we want to minimize this phenomenon. For more information, read the forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=6>character creation or go to the forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=17>character creation faq and ask your questions and opinions of potential characters. 5.1 On the subject of god moding, here are some examples of it (and what NOT to do.) * Having your character kill another character without the players permission. * Controlling someone else's characters in any way. * Having a character that is grossly overpowered in proportion to the average inhabitants of Cheled. (Can take out an entire army singlehandedly, etc.) * Having supernatural abilities that don't exist in Cheled, go beyond magical standards, etc. (If you aren't sure, you can always ask! ;3)
