ADK's Progress Report
Alright, since the hiatus is lasting way longer then intended, I'd like to give an idea of our process. Basically, it's goes thusly- Scripting Editing Thumbnails Sketches Inking Toning Texting Upload/html Right now, Lara's in the progress of writing out the script. It should be around the same length as chapter one, which means around 115 pages worth of script, which hadn't been worked on beforehand, mostly because we were too busy with the new site, and she handles ALL the html etc. Additionally, there's matter of real life work that needs to be done and unfortunately takes priority. In fact, we'll probably have to REDUCE our updates to once a week until around Christmas, because the semester ends then and I simply will NOT have time. (Script's not ready, so I never got a chance to make the buffer I needed before school. :/ I'm glad to make the new site up, however. If we had the buffer, we'd probably have the old site too, and that's a good trade off to me.) Even if it means you guys will be waiting. :( So, once the script is finished, I have to go through the long process of making the thumbnail sketches for all the pages. Only once THIS is done do I start sketching- at the sketching stage, I don't have to worry about doing one page at a time so that's when the updates start again. In the meantime, when I have time etc to work on TaL stuff, I've been working on the new cover page. Well, more then that. The cropped version of the image I'm working on will be what you see as the cover page. The full version will be part of a TaL calender- if I finish in time! I really want to, though, because it's something I've wanted to do last year and wasn't able to get stuff done in time for it. In fact, if you have any ideas for calender images, let me know. I'm going to try to do holiday pictures for the site that can be used as it as well. I also have a few extra images of different characters, however, I don't want all of them to be just Raamah and Barak- that'd get boring, right? So, without giving away, images I'm thinking of using.... (Generally, they're all going to feature at least one known character) Finished- Winter Scene of Barak Raamah from the first cover page (Hopefully I'll have time to redo the academy in the background.... @___@;; If not, it'd just be 'mood' stuff, like a storm cloud. XP) Stargaze picture (donation wallpaper) Cover 2 picture (there's no doubt it'll be done before then, so I'm counting it as finished. :P) Yet to be Started- Tzadik at the Center of the world, before the Gods Gypsy caravan Werewolf group #1 Werewolf group #2 (Pups! <3) Images I'm considering- Raamah and Zevach (Raamah's brother) as kids, playing with Fluffy Something featuring Oron. The staff, or Malkosha with Raamah's class, either as kids or current age. Pages featuring various other characters (Zared, Tivona, Mattiew, Malkosha, etc, any of em sound interesting to you guys?) I want to have a nice balance of girls and boys in the calender, challenging with two male leads.... @__@;;

As an idea for the calender, what about some sort of graduation picture with the teachers, students who've appeared and their familiars? It'd be a lot of work but it'd be kinda cool =o D: Dang, when I make a comic page I just draw it, come up with the script on the spot, ink it and scan it then text it on the computer if I feel like it. >_>;; I'm so lazy and under equipped xD

Hmm... a graduation picture might be nice... (As I mentioned, I wanna get more girls in there. XP) I was thinking of something involving Raamah's class (I sketched out what they looked like and the familiars they have anyway, so... :3) and a graduation picture might be nice. :3 Heh, many people are like that with making comics. :P TaL's been plotted out, from the beginning to the distant end. We went over it several times. Unfortunately, we weren't smart enough to finish the entire script before everything else. XP Well, actually, it's more a matter of patience.... Anyway, it's good to know where you're going in a comic is my point. :3 Though if it's just a little thing you're doing for practice and self improvement as far as comic making goes, it's less important. Planning, however minimal, IS essential to a well done story, however. ^.^;
